“Heaven is Beautiful:  How Dying Taught Me that Death is just the Beginning”

Reverend Peter Panagore will describe the life-altering near death experiences he had, while ice-climbing, and how he continues to live, much of the time, in the awe-inspiring love and peace he felt then.

While administering aid to a car crash victim by a roadside, a shaft of light coursed through his body, and he says “I wasn’t in charge after that.” He describes being pulled out of his body to “the greater darkness, and experiencing a pulsation of light and darkness.”  His daily life is one “déjà vu” experience after another, as if he’s lived each moment before.  He expresses that he is in pain, because he wants so much “to go back”…but he stays here to teach that God is love.

BIO: Reverend Peter Panagore, of Ocean Point, Maine, author of Heaven Is Beautiful: How Dying Taught Me That Death Is Just The Beginning and Two Minutes for God: Quick Fixes For The Spirit, is a broadcaster on Sunday morning commercial TV reaching 37,000 viewers weekly locally on WCSH 6 from Portland, and serves as the fifth minister (writer, producer, manager, administrator, fund raiser, and media pastor) of the oldest religious broadcast in America, founded in 1926. First Radio Parish Church of America is branded as DailyDevotions.org where you can select from fifteen hundred two minute Daily Devotion videos. A New Englander, born and raised in Marlborough, Massachusetts, and on Cape Cod, he is a graduate of Yale University in Connecticut with a Masters of Divinity with a focus on the writings of Christian mystics and systematic theology. The Rev. earned his first degree—a B.A. in English–from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, which was where he began his yoga practice of the subtle body. He attended Montana State University in Bozeman for one year as a National Exchange Student, from where he toured on stage nationally in the American Sign Language based Theater of Silence as a mime. At the age of twenty-one, while ice climbing in Alberta, Canada, he suffered a Near Death Experience. Teenage Peter graduated from a Roman Catholic college prep school–Saint John’s High School in Massachusetts where he rowed crew and where he learned to practice meditation. Raised by Greek Orthodox and Roman Catholic parents, he attended both churches, and was later ordained in the ‘open and affirming’ United Church of Christ. Before moving on to broadcasting and media Pastor Peter preached for eighteen years from pulpits in Connecticut and coastal Maine, where he always cared the same for the marginalized and the well to do, finishing that portion of his ministry by serving the people of the Boothbay Region from the pulpit of the Congregational Church of Boothbay Harbor, United Church of Christ.

Parson Peter was a staff writer for six years at HOMILETICS, now HOMILETICS ONLINE, a leading nationwide worship preparation journal for clergy. Homiletics published more than a hundred and fifty of his sermons and all of which were heard preached in Boothbay Harbor. Peter has published short stories in anthologies, most notably, Chicken Soup for the Veteran’s Soul, by New York Times Best Selling editor Jack Canfield. He continues to go adventuring in the wildernesses inward and outward.

OC IANDS exists for people in the Orange County and surrounding area who have had a near-death and/or related experiences or who have personal or professional interest in such experiences. The group provides a forum in which to discuss such experiences and their meaning and integration into subsequent life.

Discussion takes place in an atmosphere of openness and interest/support without judgment, proselytizing, or advice-giving. The group meets on the second Saturday of each month from 1:00-4:00 p.m. in Irvine.  We have a structured program with a guest speaker followed by discussion.

IANDS is not affiliated with any specific religion.

Those who attend and who can afford to do so are asked to make a $10 contribution toward our cost for rental of our meeting room.

Nanci Danison, who had an NDE in 1994, is most remarkable for the extraordinary amount of information she was given AND remembers, with an exceptional ability to articulate it so it’s simple and understood by everyone.  It’s her account that I most resonate with that has helped shape my spiritual beliefs.  She’s approachable, and have spoken with her several times over the years, in particular to invite her to be a speaker for OC IANDS.  She is more than willing to do so but we will have to stream her talk, and arrange to obtain the electronics to do so.  I’ll work with our wonderful current facilitator, Michelle Wozniak to see if we can make it happen.  I receive her newsletter and for some reason, felt this is a topic of value for you today.
Many readers have asked me over the years whether manifesting can be used to make money. Andy recently phrased it this way: “You wrote [in a newsletter]: ‘Unfortunately, when the soul part of us thinks it is human, if often manifests what it believes to be true based on human experiences.’ It sounds like the soul can get confused with being a human and then manifest the human’s beliefs. As an example, if the human had a belief that he wanted a lot of money, and the soul part thinks it is human, it would then manifest a lot of money?”
We souls generally do believe we are human. That is why I am trying to wake more of us up to our memories of who we really are.
No. This confusion does not cause us to manifest what humans want. We manifest what we spiritual entities truly and deeply believe about ourselves and life. We can, and do, have entirely different beliefs than the bodies we inhabit. That’s what creates a lot of the inner conflict we feel.
A human may desire a lot of money, but healthy adults do not believe that just wanting money is enough to make it appear. Adults generally believe money must be earned via a job, won in a game or contest, inherited, stolen, received as a gift, or exchanged for the sale of goods or services. Light Being souls believe this too, because this has been our human experience. So we do not manifest money like magic. Light Beings may, however, manifest opportunities to receive money in one of the ways listed here. But we will do so only if money is necessary to accomplish our spiritual goals, which isn’t often.
In short, manifesting is a spiritual power used to further soul goals, not a get-rich-quick scheme to satisfy human greed.
There is a whole chapter on this subject in my work-in-progress book on manifesting, entitled We Are Creators: Powerful Beyond the Law of Attraction.
Thank you so much for being open to the messages I returned from the afterlife to share.
