In 2005, Dr. Rajiv Parti, an anesthesiologist, encountered the first of a series of life-threatening health challenges: a cancer diagnosis followed by four operations. Afterwards he developed addiction to the pain medications he once prescribed for others and severe depression from pain and the pills he became addicted to.

Dr. Parti had to endure seven surgeries for the cancer and ensuing complications. During his 7th surgery, dying from sepsis with a 105 degree fever, Dr. Parti left his body to hang above the operating room, his consciousness fully intact. He was then suddenly tossed into a horrific darkness, a living hell, where he experienced a bewildering life review. This was followed by a visitation from his dead, abusive father who imparted his son with profound guidance and eternal truths that would change everything in his life. This stunning experience revealed to Dr. Parti his true purpose in this lifetime – to help others forgive, love and heal. His soul contract, his dharma, became that of a spiritual healer of the soul, especially the pain and suffering that comes from diseases such as addiction and depression.

Dr. Parti now helps others overcome their own personal suffering. Gone are the days of Dr. Parti putting people to sleep; his mission now is to wake them up.

Today, the insights gained from his NDE has propelled Dr. Parti to several write books, speak around the world and offer compelling, transformative workshops on spiritual wellness. Dr. Parti contends that no one has to endure an NDE to heal from suffering. Dr. Parti teaches others that transformative healing is available right now if we choose to forgive ourselves and others, while practicing self-love and selfless acts of service.

Please join us to hear Sue’s experiences of when she crossed over, to share any NDE or transformative experiences you may have had if you’d like to, or to ask questions.  Everyone is welcome.

Dec 13th speaker: Had NDE at birth, SIDS mother, helps dissolve fear of death

International Association for Near Death Studies (IANDS)
Orange County Chapter Support and Interest Group

Featured Speaker

Kienda Valbracht

Date:          Saturday, December 13, 2014

Time:         1:00-4:00 pm

Place:         Unity of Tustin, 14402 Prospect Ave., Tustin, CA

Kienda had an NDE (near-death-experience) at birth and the reason why she had many STEs (spiritually transforming experiences) in her early childhood years. In her late teens, to more deeply understand her own experiences, she began exploring the world’s religions, cults, and mystery.

Kienda is also a SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) mother. She bore the shock and sorrow of her infant son’s death. Her continued relationship with her son, Christian Alexander, has contributed to her book, Lucid Death: Conscious Journeys Beyond the Threshold.

She says most people have no idea what happens after death, and so live in fear of the unknown.  Everyone needs a clear, comprehensible understanding of death and the beyond, including doctors, nurses, caretakers and hospice workers, because all physical life begins at birth and ends universally in death. Through her research and experience, she offers information, insight, and hopefully, can help to dissolve the fear, leading to a richer, fuller life.  That experience includes: Reiki Master, Institute of Cultural Affairs Facilitation Training, Interdimensional Consciousness Training. Minister of Spiritual Healers and Earth Stewards (SHES), Multi-dimensional Cellular Healing, SIDS Grief Counselor, Hospice, Tai Chi Chuan, Firewalking, Omega, Tarot, Subud, Sufi Healing Order, IANDS, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), Rites of Passage, Costume Design, Theater Production, Singing, Motherhood, Waldorf Education, and Anthroposophy.

Kienda has an IMA in Thanatology (the study of Death,) and is a Clinical Hypnotherapist.

Kiowa Michaels

author of My Near-Death Experience and
When To Give Up on Life and Child (autobiography)
Kiowa was born with a congenital heart disease. He’s had 29 heart surgeries, 5 major lung surgeries, 5 pacemakers and 6 near death experiences (NDE’s). He was also severely abused by a parent all his life. As a young boy, he considered suicide as the only way out. When he was 12, two weeks prior to his first heart failure, he had his first near-death experience or spiritually transformative experience, something which NDE researchers say is not uncommon. After he revived, he never considered suicide again – not because of fear, but from the immensity, beyond description, of love, complete lack of fear, and peace he experienced.
Questions and answers follow.

OC IANDS  exists for people in the Orange County and surrounding  areas who have had a near-death and/or related experiences or who have personal or professional interest in such experiences. The group provides a forum in which to discuss such experiences and their meaning and integration into subsequent life.  Discussion takes place in an atmosphere of openness and interest/support without judgment, proselytizing, or advice-giving.  The group meets on the second Saturday  of each month from 1:00-4:00 p.m. in Tustin.

We have a structured program almost always hearing a speaker watching a relevant video followed by discussion.  Although we meet in a Unity church, the group is not affiliated with any specific religion. The church is conveniently located, and they allow us to use a classroom. However, those who attend and who can afford to do so are asked to make a $10 contribution to the church for our use of their room.

All are welcome. We’ll meet at Mimi’s Cafe, 17231 17th St., Tustin, (714) 544-5522.  Directions:  Leaving the church parking lot, turn right on Prospect.  At 17th Street, turn Left.  Get in right hand lane.  A few blocks down, just before the 55 freeway, you’ll see Mimi’s on the right.

Bill McKenna scheduled to speak Saturday, May 10, 2014

Bill McKenna, author of The Only Lesson

Bill will share his life of intense experiences, which lead to a constant struggle with crash-and-burn relationships and a battle with depression.  His journey brought financial success and catastrophe, but nothing in his life would compare to the intensity of what he was about to experience – a spiritual journey and spontaneous awakening after an accident. He’ll also talk about the choice we make to respond to life situations either with fear or love, letting go of old anger and resentment.  He’ll lead the group in a couple of short exercises that can allow for the freeing of these emotions.

Date:     Saturday, May 10, 2014

NDE survivor of scuba diving accident will speak at April 12th meeting

On September 29, 1984, Darlene Jaman survived a freak scuba diving accident off the coast of California. She experienced a core NDE (Near Death Experience) enveloped by the white light and an imbuing Love. This resulted in her spiritual reawakening and her birth of creative sight.

Darlene’s journey took her on a path of discovery to spend two and half years in Scotland at Findhorn Spiritual Community. Coming back to Los Angeles, she dedicated herself to help terminally ill patients who fear death.

For over a decade, Darlene facilitated and counseled the West Los Angeles friends of IANDS support group.

Darlene was raised in Los Angeles, and through the years, received extensive training in prestigious institutes of art, fashion design, and gourmet cooking.  After her NDE, painting became the way to quiet her mind, a transcendental gateway to another universe far beyond the physical limitations of the canvas. She is able to draw from gifts of sight which transcend beyond her thoughts and feelings giving over to the flow of painting, never knowing what will come onto the canvas.

Darlene will bring a couple of her pieces to the meeting which depict elements of her NDE,  also seen in her sketch below which she’ll explain during her talk.
