The Fun of Dying – Find Out What Really Happens Next!
I am delighted to be meeting with the OC IANDS group on July 9th and sharing what has to be the greatest news in all of human history. For the first time, now we really know what happens at and after death, and it turns out that not only is death nothing to fear, but for most of us it is the best time of our lives!
I had two experiences of light in childhood. These extraordinary spiritual events are much rarer than near-death experiences, but they shape our lives in much the same way; and in my case, they set me on a decades-long search for information about what happens at and after death. It turns out that we have nearly two hundred years of abundant and consistent communications from people we used to think were dead, and when what these folks tell us is combined with quantum physics, consciousness studies, and other areas of scientific inquiry it gives us an amazingly detailed picture of the death process and of the greater reality that we enter at death. When it is illuminated by ancient spiritual writings, what the dead say also helps us begin to understand why we are here and how we can make the very most of each lifetime.
This is a big topic! But since the testimony of the dead is so breathtakingly consistent across communication styles, earthly locations, and nearly two centuries of time, it isn’t difficult to understand and get our minds around. And since the news is nearly all good – it’s better than your most optimistic imaginings! – beginning really to understanding the life between our lifetimes and how all of reality fits together can empower us to live fearless and much richer lives.
The notion that dying and being dead is enjoyable seems counterintuitive to some people, but variations of that word are used by the dead themselves to describe their present lives. At death we enter a greater reality that may be twenty times the size of this universe, a realm without time that is based in love beyond our ability to comprehend it and is full of new things to experience and joyous ways to make ourselves even happier. The greatest earthly pleasures simply cannot compare. The more we learn about the portion of eternity that we spend in what we still call the afterlife, the richer and more blessed with abundant joy can be our brief, essential lifetimes on earth.

OC IANDS exists for people in the Orange County and surrounding area who have had a near-death and/or related experiences or who have personal or professional interest in such experiences. The group provides a forum in which to discuss such experiences and their meaning and integration into subsequent life.
Discussion takes place in an atmosphere of openness and interest/support without judgment, proselytizing, or advice-giving. The group meets on the second Saturday of each month from 1:00-4:00 p.m. in Irvine. We have a structured program with a guest speaker followed by discussion.
IANDS is not affiliated with any specific religion.
Those who attend and who can afford to do so are asked to make a $10 contribution toward our cost for rental of our meeting room.
