Nelson Abreu from the International Academy of Consciousness (IAC) will lead a discussion on the positive effects and potential implications of the out-of-body experience for personal and social transformation. In addition to spontaneous or near-death OBEs which tend to bring positive behavioral changes and life mission inspiration to those who have them, intentional OBEs could provide a similar catalyst for development to a greater number of people. Nelson will discuss how researchers and practitioners at IAC and other organizations are furthering this vision of a larger number of “multidimensionally-aware” individuals.
Nélson Abreu serves as vice-director of Research and Scientific Communication at International Academy of Consciousness (IAC). The electrical engineer, educator, and author began experiencing and studying transformative, “multidimensional” consciousness phenomena such as out-of-body experiences (OBEs) since 1998. Nelson enjoys sharing experiences and ideas based on his own research and what he has learned from colleagues and students he has encountered in the past 2 decades. He teaches about OBEs, subtle energy, lucid dreaming, near-death experience, psychic and spiritual development at IAC since 2003.
His studies have encompassed consciousness and its relationship with extraordinary human experiences like out-of-body experience, subtle energy and psychometry, as well as economics, biological evolution, physics, and engineering.
Most recently, he joined leading and emerging minds in the field at the first International Congress of Consciousness Science in Portugal (May 2015), where he unveiled a sound-based system he co-developed to facilitate subtle energy and OBE states. He has presented at colleges all over the world.

Barry Kennedy is the one who took this video, which he posted on Facebook a year ago. He said “Hi. My dog died recently and we kept smelling wet dog and getting orbs on photos in the dining room. Then this is what I caught in video.” http://on.fb.me/1N5Pikz
Many pet owners have seen, heard or felt the presence of a pet who has died. I’m one of them. I heard the click-click-click-click-click-click sound of my dog Dahli’s claws as she walked across my kitchen floor. She was walking toward me. My back was to her as I sat in front of my computer working. It was such a familiar sound that for one split second, I forgot that she had died, and I turned to greet her as I often did. This was an auditory experience only, I didn’t ‘see’ her.
A few weeks later, I was sitting in my easy chair in the living room watching TV. I suddenly sensed her jumping up the side of my chair to my left and felt her nuzzle her way under my forearm to get to my lap. My forearm actually lifted up as she crawled under. There was something else interesting about this. I adopted her when she was already a senior. During the time I had her, she was too old to make this kind of a jump. This experience was not frightening at all, actually the opposite. It filled me with tremendous happiness to have this proof, once again, that my little girl really WAS right here with me.
I’ve only seen an orb twice, a few minutes apart in 1994. It was my best friend, Peter, who had died a week earlier. I held a memorial service in my apartment for his friends and co-workers. Everyone had left except for Rob, who had been his significant other years earlier. We were sitting at my dining room table catching up with each other, when we both saw the orb up at the ceiling. It was much larger than an orange but smaller than a basketball. I had no idea what an orb was in those days, in fact, I had no idea what that was at all except along with it was ‘knowing‘ it was Peter. Rob waved and said “Hi West”, Peter’s last name. The image dissipated, yet returned about 30 minutes later, then disappeared again. That’s the last orb I’ve seen.
For more on orbs, go to Virginia Hummel’s site. She’s known as The Orb Whisperer: http://www.orbwhisperer.com/home.html
Project Afterlife will explore the experiences of those who have died and crossed over and those who have performed modern day resurrections. The interviews highlight the exact moment that they transitioned, with vivid descriptions of what they saw and experienced once they passed over. 10pm CST

Celebrity medium/clairvoyant Hollister Rand will be guest speaker at OC IANDS August 8, 2015, describing her NDE, what it means to survive death, and addressing unique challenges facing those that have. She’ll also be delivering messages from spirit to audience members.
In 1990 when she was 19, over a period of weeks, her husband tried to murder her by administering a toxic substance. During that time, Dr. Sarah shifted in and out of consciousness resulting in peak experiences with NDE. Information was ‘downloaded’ about the universe, life and death, all of eternity and creation, past and future in this and other realms. This resulted in a beautiful understanding of our purpose in being in this life.
On Dec. 11, 2002, 42-year-old Deb Foster gave birth to a healthy baby girl named Bryce. But within hours, something went wrong, and the new mom died. Deb will share her detailed story of going to a ‘different place’ where she saw heaven.
Her story has been featured in newspapers, Barbara Walters’ special entitled:Heaven, Where is It? How Do We Get There? Deb was also interviewed in the December 2005 issue of Guideposts and featured in the 2008 film: Reflections: Beyond and Back in 2008.
Please come and hear her story. She’ll be answering everyones’ questions afterwards. Bring a friend, especially any animal lovers who wonder where their pets go when they leave this world.
Peter was our guest speaker several years ago, and will be again on December 12th, 2015, sharing the profound experience he had in 1987 leading up to his death, what happened when he died, and the after-affects on his life since then. Peter is a gifted speaker, and you can hear for yourself on Coast to Coast AM radio in Los Angeles, KFI AM 640 at midnight PDT, Sunday, May 3! It will repeat at 4am. You can listen live on the Coast to Coast AM website, http://www.coasttocoastam.com.
